On the present graduation work, some procedures are shown, which are carried out in an experiment that has the purpose of assessing the percentage of survival of the Rubus geoides species (native berry of the south of Chile) with the function of preserving, by means of trnasplanting collected individuals in two geographical zones of the Brunswick peninsula; these sectors were "Laguna Parrillar" and "Sector Vertedero". The samples were carried into the facilities of the Universidad de Magallanes; in order to be divided, identified and situated in half-dim beds, with mulch cover of black rachel net, in tundra subtrate. To the units placed in these conditions, some measures were taken each fifteen days and the parameters of evaluation considered were: number of leaves, sprouts and percentage of mortality. According to the results obtained in the essay, it was concluded that there are no meaningful differences existent between the two collecting sectors, given the fact that the survival percentages for the sector of "Parrillar" and "Vertedero" were 92.4% and 84.4% respectively. Making totally possible the maintaining of a Rubus geoides species, inside a semi-forced system, prior to the recollection of the genetic material on its natural state
