Esto amplía el límite sur de su rango de distribución hasta los 53° 22' S. Hasta el presente la distribución de esta especie era reconocida como alcanzando hacia el sur solamente la Provincia de Aysén. Abstract:The presence of the White-Necked Heron, (Árdea cocoi LINNE), in the province of Magallanes, Chile, is reponed. This extends its latitudinal range to 53° 22' S.
