Schythe, tuviera por la vida y costumbres de los indígenas aónikenk, y sobre las circunstancias en que formó las colecciones etnográficas que posteriormente fueron incorporadas a los fondos del Museo Nacional de Historia Natural, Santiago, y Museum für Völkerkunde, Berlín. Se pone de relieve la importancia de estas colecciones para el conocimiento de la cultura material aónikenk y se las describe de manera detallada.
The interest on the life and customs of the aónikenk indians that past Governor of the Colony of Magallanes, Jorge C. Schythe had, and the circumstances in which he made the ethnographic collections which were later incorporated to the Museo de Historia Natural, Santiago and Museum für Völkerkunde, Berlin are reported.
